Well everyone, the markest are up yet agin today, Fridfay before the bank holiday, FTSE100 up 29.92, and the FTSE250 57.34 so how did the old portfolio do, it's up again this time by +£3,211.46

 It's not been a bad week, in total my portfolio has gained about £15k in the last couple of weeks!

This has to end sometime or other doesn't it! Well we're up again this time by +£1,033.24

The FTSE100 was up by 2.81%, so the portfolio I've constructed is performing better that that by a bit. The portfolio is up by about £10,000 in the last couple of weeks - so much to the old adage sell in May and go away doesnt really stand up to scrutiny, maybe there's time for this to be true tho'!

Now, notice how M&S is up by 1.47% today, but they announced today that sales were down 63% - makes no sense, or does it? M&S have been doing a whole load of restructuring, ne executives have joined so the market thinks the worst is over and it's turning around. Maybe the time to buy more?

The market was only slightly up today, but my portfolio is up again this time by

How long will this rally last, who cares you should be in it for the long term so when a dip comes just buy more, or at least the dividend reinvestment program gets you more anyway, soo which ever way the market goes it's always a win-win situation, unless of course you have to sell, but the idea is to buy and hold.
